The Manning Zone PSSA aims to:

• foster and promote interest in all sport at a primary level in the Manning Zone
• provide opportunities for primary school children to compete in sporting carnivals as have been approved by the NSW Department of Education  at this level Zone level
• organise and conduct Zone Trials and/or preselection for Regional trials in sports determined by the Hunter Primary School Sports Association

The Manning Zone is made up of 31 local schools this includes 3 small schools districts. Events run by the Manning Zone PSSA cater for students aged 8-13 years. Zone trials for team sports are primarily targeted at students who are demonstrating well developed skills and knowledge in those particular sports.

The Manning Zone PSSA is not responsible for NSW PSSA State Knockout competitions. Information for these competitions needs to be sought from the relevant state convenors.
